Rambles

I have finally found myself to 'fame' after spending the last few months helping MDM Esther out with her work. Honestly speaking, I didn't even pass my IPPT to earn a Caporal Rank to begin with which personally make me undeserving of that little thing!

With twenty-six more 'calendar day' and nineteen more working days to ORD, freedom awaits me and I'm so looking forward to it! One week ago, you can safely say that I couldn't bear to leave the unit because the people there were awesome. However, as day gone by, but I begin to have no qualms with this problem anymore.

Allow me to expound a little bit more in regard to the people I observed during the past few weeks in my squadron!

Our new OC, MR Ooh Yi Jie was a pretty nice bloke. Normally those burly, nerdy boys I know are portrayed as being nice and friendly people.  He was nice to the extent of allowing me to rest in the conference room for the whole morning! Maybe such triviality doesn't affect his rice bowl since 'DXOs will get fired if found guilty of allowing his man to sleep in the unit' is not found in his employment policy. NOW being such a Mr Good Man, I can totally comprehend why Jermaine is so fond to stick with him.

Rants Of Ryan About 708 SQN (Day 120/154)

Let's be honest about this - I am beginning to hate writing blogs. Reason not being that I have nothing interesting going on with my life. On the contrary, it's all because there are too many things I want to share with you readers; to the point that I have no idea where to start.

For readers who have been following me from the start, I want to say thank you for all the support these years. Although I may not know you personally or you may be someone I have seen in some point of my life; but that doesn't matter because you'd already made yourself a good listener for me by reading my wall of grievances.

ORD
Nothing else is more important than the three big alphabet as the title above. Absolutely right, O-R-D. Let's start the countdown watch - 34 days! My plan after my ORD is probably going to be studying a private 'A' Level. As of now, I really regret not finding ways to get a  school reservation! Well, not so soon. Everything shall wait after ORD then I'll decide whether if that is going to be my choice.

Well, I shall put all the happenings in point forms. There's no need to elaborate much since I have nothing much to comment.

What I've done today:
- Assist Rene in EDS password reset
- Follow Wei Siang to the back alley of the Cookhouse and witnessed a Seven Month Prayer thingy organized by Betty
- Stayed back after 1730hrs to help Jian Hui to pass some driving license thingy to Danny

Rants Of Ryan About 708 SQN (Day 114/154)

As the proverbial time flies; when you ignore them wholly. Pink I/C day is drawing closer and closer when each day passes by. Maybe happiness is not the only word that can describe the feeling I have now. Hmm. I have another unspeakable feeling of what we might want to term as - can't-bear-to. In chinese we say 不舍得. Yes, I can't bear to part with my friends whom I have seen them day in day out.

Last time I didn't care two hoots about the squadron because we didn't know each other well enough. However, I feel that the nearer to the date of my ORD, the more unwilling I feel to leave the place. Good friends like Wei Siang and Kenneth are hard to find. Wei Siang has the most genuine heart while Kenneth has the kindest heart I have ever seen in my life so far. They are the ones whom I believe will stick with you when bad times arise.

Anyway, drop all that sentimental thing away.. I figure out that I always managed to escape away from the weekly squadron activities. Those who knows me well enough, I really detest basketball and soccer. They are the sports that I will never want to touch in my life. Maybe that's the reason why I never have many friends.

Each time when there's a squadron activity, there's always a way that paved nicely for me to escape from it. Like Tuesday, Mdm Esther tasked me make arrangement to liaise with whomever concerns with regard to the deferment of Leon's BMT. Whereas for Friday, Mdm Esther got me to be a photographer for the CEP at Changi Mess which last for the whole afternoon. Yes, I felt bad each time when I couldn't join them because the person who asked me to join them was Wei Siang.

Rant & Rambles About PRCs

Disclaimer: I have no intention to stir any resentment among the People's Republic of China(PRC), as whatever I wrote here are all based on personal experiences with them. If you belong to this category and any of these texts is/are offensive, please do not hesitate to drop me a message in the comment box provided below and I will remove them accordingly.

No Singaporean in their right frame of mind will not agree with me that PRCs are extremely annoying, boisterous and filthy. Readers(some), if it comes across as snobbish or arrogance to you, then maybe you should examine yourself, rather than pin it all on me.

And oh, for those who disagree with me, it's high time to cease behaving like an old, sage owl and pretend as if you don't hold any grudge against them at the slightest. Not a morsel of hatred, you serious? Behind your seemingly wise façade you are just a pathetic hypocrite who don't have the strength of character to stick to your moral when the going gets hard to justify your cowardice.
Managed to change the venue of departing to Tampines!
 FIVE STARS
The exterior design of the store.
Come to think about it, I wonder why did our government magnanimously made huge investment using our hard-earned monies, i.e. income taxes, on people who don't even worth to be in our country? Is there a loose screw in our so-called shrewd government's brain to allow an influx of PRCs to work in our service line? Yes, if you ask me, I hate them to the core; and I believe that the notion of racism against them is already deeply ingrained in me since I was young.

One very fact I abhor about the obnoxious PRCs is their loathsome and gruesome chinese accent. That's not the onus of my hatred towards them, but more of the display of their holier-than-thou attitude and egoism. Some of them even considered their presence in their jobs in Singapore as indispensable and they naïvely think that we can't do without their holy existence. How swallow and cocky they are. Come to think of it, what have they contributed to our island; besides the delivery of their half-fucked and substandard service in our convenience stores?

Horribly, when we patronized the 5-stars, the whole place was filled with these terrible China-imported chinese staffs. Their crummy service and nonchalance attitude have perfectly shown how repulsive they really are. I really cannot comprehend why our government even agreed to allow these foreigners tarnishing the service reputation of our gracious country.

Words to PRC~
Hello, you PRCs are professionally trained as a travel agent and you don't stare at the computer screen when you are serving customers because it is extremely rude. Don't tell me that you PRCs don't even know basic courtesy like maintaining eyes contact with people while you communicate. Is that what you PRCs do in your country?

If you PRCs refuse to abide by our basic set of rules, I strongly urge that you can bring yourself and that shitty attitude of yours back to China. Honestly speaking, you PRCs are not even fit to grime off our feet, let alone be a tourist of our nation, and I personally consider it one of the tragedies of our modern era that our government ever hired someone like you people.
