I can't believe my eyes that today is already one month past my ORD! I don't know if I have found a stable and permanent job but I'm glad that SAMSUNG Company is kind enough to recruit me as a full-time promotor. I remember one of the staffs once told me only those who has the potential to sell then SAMSUNG is willing to get him as a full-time (actually I think it's sheer bullshit).
Anyway, I have already calculated the total amount SAMSUNG is willing to give me in a month. Let's do a breakdown of the amount. I work 6 days a weeks and that will be $56 X 6 = $336. There are 4 weeks per month so that will be 4 X $336 = $1344. In fact, that's little for a basic pay to say the least.
What more can I ask for? I'm only an O level holder, right?

SAMSUNG Job @ PP #5
The total sales for today was not good. I only managed to sell two! However, I had better sales compared to last saturday at least!
Then he was like, I can conveniently drop by and say hello since I just finish my BTT Trail Test at Eunos. After we stopped messaging for like uhm maybe 20 mins at 1730hrs, he popped out behind me.
Aw. Thanks Ah Ken!
Kenneth claimed the food at Banquet sucked and I had no appetite. I was actually grateful that he bothered to spare a thought for me when I said I didn't want to eat at Banquet. We moved our butts to Ajisen.
So I thought to myself, 'I'm so gonna slack until 1930, which means I'm gonna spent 1.5 hrs eating instead of the 30-min break rule. How can I leave Kenneth alone for the next 3.5hrs? If the staffs there (with I doubt) gonna ask me where I was, I am gonna fabricate a witty lie'
My Veggie Noodles. The soup is damn delicious. Kenneth threw me mockery stares and giggled to himself when I placed my order.
Vegetarian also can be delicious, okay?
This american-english accent lady came so late 15 mins before my work ended. I spent the next one and a half hour answering her queries.During the bus ride back, Kenneth was telling me that he is gonna get an iPhone 5 and he considers signing up a new line for it. Of course, I wasn't supportive of his idea and I sort of like trying to get him over iPhone 5. However, he wouldn't hear of it and jokingly said, 'I know you gonna beat the daylight out of me when you see me holding the iPhone5 next month'.
There was one remark Kenneth straightforwardly put across me was, ' You sound really weird when you speak english.' When asked for the reason, he hardly could explain his words. One of the reasons Kenneth gave was, 'Maybe I'm not too used to you speaking english. You're trying to practise it but you made it too forceful.'
I don't want to speculate what he's trying to mean but still, I know his casual remarks are often very honest opinions of him. Well, I'm still going to speak with my 'ang mo' accent regardless.

Working Experience at PP #4
The sales for second day was much more better the day before. I managed to seal one more sale before leaving Best Denki. I have closed a total of 4 sales on Sunday. My highest record till now.
I allowed myself to take a break from work. Two more Sunshine Butter Sugar Roll for pre-dinner!
This 6 year-old kid by the name of Yi Xin (according to his granny) was playing with the games on my Tab 2 (10.1) for hours on end. His grandma was super mad at him because he was too addicted to the game and he refused to budge despite umpteen times of asking him to leave. The granny was constantly screaming at the boy with '你叫妈妈买给你啦。'
She turned to me and explained, '他爸爸以前有一个iPad,但因为没钱的关系所以把它给卖了。以前这两个小瓜每天抢着它玩,现在卖掉了所以没得玩了。’ She turned back to her grandson and heaved a big sign. I could see that she has finally 'resigned to fate' and played along with the games on the tab 2 (10.1).
Apparently, that's the worst chicken rice I have ever partake in my whole life. The chicken was reek of unspeakably weird smell and an unexplainably repulsive taste. No offense.Hearsay from the full-timer, the staff can earn up to S$20 for selling a Galaxy Note 10.1. Apparently, Edmund had sold 3 of those. The imagine below shows Edmund explaining the specs of the gadget.
I should have helped Leon with the duty! In order to return the key before Monday arrives, I had no choice but to return it back after work. When I reached camp, it was already 2330hrs.

Working Experience at PP #3
CREDITS:
WEI SIANG Thank you for introducing this job for me. If not for your recommendation, I wouldn't have earn this hundreds of bucks. Also, I know this may sound really cliche, but nevertheless, thank you for taking the trouble to come all the way to Funan IT Mall on the second day of my job to assist me!
HUI JIE Kudos to you for not grumbling too much when we were both 'conned' by the manager of the Luggage Operations. Of course, thank you for accompanying me all the way to T1 and made the first two hours a better place to pass time for me.
KENNETH Thank you for SMS-ing me throughout the whole day during my work on both weeks without fail. I'm really heartened with the fact that you actually bothered to think of visiting me at T1 (Too bad, I've moved to PP).
KEITH Thank you for traveling all the way down to Funan IT Mall on the first day of my job! I really feel happy that someone could accompany me the whole bus journey back home.
WEI ZONG Thank you for complimenting on my promoting skills! You really kickstart my day with that little praise!
TRANSFERRED TO PARKWAY PARADE
Due to bad sales in the roadshow at Tampines I, Boon Ling transferred me to Parkway Parade! She claimed that the sales there is pretty good and all.
Yay! I actually preferred to work in solitary because I can enjoy the freedom of choosing my own rest time without being disparaged by anyone. 'I don't need the extra money. I just want to go home!'
BAD SALE
The sale was bad. Most customers asked a lot of question and then went with 'Oh, Thank you.' or 'I will consider and come back again'. Pui! Most of them who said that didn't return back! To make matter worse, what opposite Best Denki (where I work) was another retail store Harvey Norman. I guess they must have purchased the product there instead.
BETTER CROWD
Anyway the crowd is definitely better than Funan! at least there are people come to me and asked for information on SAMSUNG Products.
I strongly believe that most promotors have already sealed many deals during the launch of the Samsung S3 and Note 1.0. Hence, you must convince the customers that SAMSUNG has better things than than Apple. Let customers know that SAMSUNG has many things Apple cannot do, e.g. Multi-screen, S note etc..
Behind SAMSUNG's superiority facade, Apple has way better perfomance (IOS) than android in terms of processor. We need to pull customer back to us. Personally, I'm an avid fan of Apple products and I have iPod, iPad and a MacBook Pro. However I can't agree more that SAMSUNG NOTE 10.0 really win iPAD two hands down in terms of their applications. Oh, I feel like a betrayal now.

REVIEWS OF MY POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS
POTENTIAL CUSTOMER #1
There was this Filipino dad queried about SAMSUNG Note 10.1. He exerted that his son is an Architect so the product he wants to purchase must be in every way benefit his son.
Chance arose, how could I forgo it?? I saw CA$H flying around me! However, in order not to sound pushy and scare him off, I putted in my best attempt by remaining humble but at the same time delivering it with an affirmative tone:
'You may want to consider buying a SAMSUNG Note 10.1 for your son because I believe what an Architect needs is a device whereby he can draw using a pencil. Hence, the styler provided will definitely comes in handy for his working purpose.
If you are worry about the limited softwares for your son in our display sets, the good news is that we have an application called PlayStore, where you can download complimentary relevant apps for your son to facilitate with his drawing.
Compared with other phones/ tabs in the current market, I strongly believe that only SAMSUNG NOTE 10.1 can do this. Maybe you could have this flyer and share with your son. If your son is interested, you can come back here again.
For the record, I will be working on every weekend. (Boon Ling mentioned that I may be stationed at PP permanently but it will always be good to give customer an affirmation. However if I could, I would probably tell him this: I would give you a huge discount if you could come back next time)'.
CUSTOMER RESPONSE 'Really appreciate your help. What's your name?'. I know I could have sealed this deal if his son was there with him.
POTENTIAL CUSTOMER #2
oh, there was another customer wanted to buy 2 tabs if we could give him a discount! He didn't buy anything at all though.
POTENTIAL CUSTOMER #3
Damn it. There was one man who wanted to buy S3 but BEST DENKI don't sell phones.
WEIRD CUSTOMER
There was this female customer in her 50s who was playing around with the tab for at least 30 minutes. It was only when the screen started to flicker then she started to make a move.
During the course of the whole incident, I went up to one of the full-timers and complaint: This lady has been standing at my booth for a long time. She is actually affecting my business by blocking my customers!
The full-timer merely replied, 'Don't chase her away. When customer comes, you can just politely tell her to move away.' When approached, the lady asked me how to delete the searched words from the search engine. She mentioned that she was pretty concerned with privacy and security because if she purchase this product it will be shared among many people.
Most of the time, NO SALES. However, I still find it better than Funan. No, I think Funan was better in terms of sale because there was one female purchaser who got herself a piece of Samsung Note 10.1 without much persuasion.
FULL-TIMER
OMG, he creeps me out. This mid-40 to early-50 self-exclaimed full-timer was overly-friendly with me. He kept walking towards me and ask me a lot of questions. Around dinner's time, he asked if I would like to have dinner together with him. I pretended that I was meeting someone by holding my phone.
When I asked him for the boss to sign my timesheet, he went 'You don't have to worry about anything because I'm a full-timer and people come to me for advices all the time. If you don't believe what I exerted, you can come with me and I will show what I said is true.'
He brought me to the malay supervisor. I didn't know what he was saying but I just did what he deemed fit.
I eat alone with a 90 cents bread from Cold Storage. I feel so pathetic.
My thoughts of the sales today:I strongly believe that most promotors have already sealed many deals during the launch of the Samsung S3 and Note 1.0. Hence, you must convince the customers that SAMSUNG has better things than than Apple. Let customers know that SAMSUNG has many things Apple cannot do, e.g. Multi-screen, S note etc..

Working at Volkswagen (Macpherson)
I was really out of mind. Rising up early on a Saturday was definitely more than an uphill task. Just imagine you had a week share of 'waking up early for work' moment and the next day you had to crawl out of the bed for work.
Yes, I'd not put the blames on you even you got that impetus to ask this: Who in the right frame of mind would want to work like cows and horses on weekends when they could gleefully sleep at the comfort of their own bed till noon arrived? (unless you are seriously cash-strapped)
To that question: Ask yourself from the bottom of your heart, what would you normally do on weekends? I believe at least 70% of you guys would be merrymaking outside and this, you can't deny at the slightest. When you're out of your home, you splurge on food, clothes and entertainment.
Not to exaggerate some facts, but if you bother to do a flashback on how much money you had wasted on these materials in past few weekends, I bet you had blown more than at least hundred bucks away from your wallet.
In that case, instead of spending time and money on your wants, why not invest all your energy on a job to satisfy your financial needs? It's the same thing after all. At work you still are able to spend time socializing with your colleagues and customers? After-all, isn't all about socializing with people?
While I admit it's waste of time and energy working on weekends on the onset, but come to think of it I earned something worthy of my time in the end which is undoubtedly MONEY. You probably got to be self-motivated before you actually consider giving up your weekends for it. Trust me, you will feel good after a hard's day work. You reap what you sow.
Received a job offer from Jason
I received an invitation SMS from Wei Siang's friend, Jason requesting me to work at an event in Volkswagen (Macpherson's Road) on Aug 18, 2012, Saturday from 0730hrs to 1900hrs. I felt that a little bit of indecisive because Wei Siang would not be able to commit this time round as he had already found a better job(I believe) somewhere else.
On the other hand, since I was gifted with an opportunity to earn some fast cash, then I have nothing to lose by accepting the offer. Of course, I was not determined to work alone so I offered Hui Jie to join me as well. Getting him to work is a piece of piss, a piece of cake, a breeze..
The most cheesy dialogue between both of us as shown below:
Me: Hey, do you want to work on this coming Saturday?
Hui Jie: Uhmm ...
Me: There are an array of delicious foods available there. Imagine you can have them all on the house as and when you desire (Actually, the foods are not for the workers. Just a nice tactic to lure a foodie). Pretty good deal right?
Hui Jie: But...
Me: Don't hesitate anymore. Besides the indulgent of fine delicacies, we have many young and vivacious girls waiting for you there. How can you ever miss out this golden opportunity to mingle with the beauties?
Hui Jie: Since you said so, the situation is different in this case now. Okay, I will work with you tomorrow.
That's lecherous (Heh. Just kidding). I always knew girls are his weakness.
The distinction between Volkswagen at Alexandra and Macpherson is that at Alexandra's, there are more varieties to choose from, more customers (though most of them came for free meals) and more spacious walking space.
At Macpherson, you don't have to work with insanity and then feel demoralized to earn a meagre pay after a hard day's work. Of course with a less busy place, you don't expect time to pass as fast as at Alexandra's. Besides having much freedom to do whatever you want, an array of foods are offered for you on the table to eat at your own heart's content (No la, just kidding).
Punctuality Issue
As what the title suggested, I was late for work. If not for a wake-up call from Hui Jie, I could have flung the whole thing flat. Anyway, I definitely was aware of my irresponsible course of action to actually wake up later than Hui Jie as I was the one who is duly responsible to facilitate this whole job thing. Blame on myself own follies, I ended up heart-painfully flushing a whooping sum of SGD15.20 down the drain by paying for the taxi's fare.
Happenings
We had been goofing around at work. The whole day we spent kicking our legs, chatting, using i-net and munching the pizzas and ice-creams away (Oops!). Kudos to the low customers flow throughout the day, you basically just felt like getting free cash and go.
Below are the compilation of things we had done for part of the day.

Below are the compilation of things we had done for part of the day.
Smothering away the pizzas
Arranging the pizzas in order.
Baking the pizzas..40% of the pizzas were consumed by us instead of the customers. For the record, they indented for more than 200 customers which was far less than predicted.
Using i-Net. Is that what your boss pay you to do?
Every one hour or so, a customer will stop by for an ice-cream.cAnyway I have consumed a total of 7 ice-creams (I have yet to try all the flavors) and more than 20 pieces of mini pizzas (I think). Anyway, don't blame us. Jason was the one who said we could eat the pizzas since there wouldn't be much customers for the whole day.
Yes, at certain period of time, I have to admit that time passed at a snail's crawl. However, when you were chatting away (especially with Hui Jie's OGL, Sebastini), time flew away like a blink of an eye.
Something Hilarious
Let me share with you some funny facts about Hui Jie. By reading thus far, I believe that all of you already know the true purpose of why Hui Jie wanted to work with me on Saturday. I shouldn't have been so bastard by whispering Hui Jie's plot into Jason's ear, as this has resulted him being teased for the whole day.
Upon grasping his motive, Jason distinctively pointed to one of the girls sitting less than 10 meters away and hollered, "Hui Jie, is that the girl you want to know?" To hide his embarrassment, Hui Jie swapped place with the girls manning the ice-cream stall where he could be wholly concealed from their vision.
After about 10 minutes later, the girl then approached him at the ice-cream stall and asked, 'Heard that you want to know me.' Now I bet you can imagine how red Hui Jie's face went.
Some girl we met there
I hate the fact when girls who call someone ugly when they themselves are not pretty at the slightest. While I admit that someone out there (Not determined to expose his identity) is fairly good-looking but it doesn't mean that she has the rights to draw comparisons, make unnecessary comments and sow discords between all of us.
I sort of felt happy when she was heavily teased (more like being disparaged to me) by both someone & someone she secretly admired.
The cheek of her to ask for a man who is super good looking. Anyway, none of her SP she proudly show off to us is good-looking. Not saying all these out of jealousy, but those words are definitely from the very bottom of my heart.

Eat after work
Don't feel like eating with her.
A confluence of few factors.
Firstly, I don't feel comfortable with her.
Secondly, I don't want to know her better.
Lastly, I don't like the way she bluntly puts her words.
Like seriously, how can you keep praising other men in front of men and then made a sensitive comment: 吃不到葡萄吃葡萄酸
Whatever.
