Last Day of September!!

4 More Days To ORD!!

Who am I kidding? WHAT?
4 more days to Operational Ready Day!
Heard I am one of the oldest NSFs in terms of birth year in NS.
Nah, that doesn't matter because it's not the beginning. My 24-month chapter as a NSF is coming to a close, with 10 more ICTs as an NSman to follow.

Eagerly anticipating life of a civilian

SAMSUNG Job @ PP #5

The total sales for today was not good. I only managed to sell two! However, I had better sales compared to last saturday at least!

Kenneth SMS-ed me earlier in the day that he would be visiting me. I was like, are you sure you want to come over? The traveling is pretty tedious.

Then he was like, I can conveniently drop by and say hello since I just finish my BTT Trail Test at Eunos. After we stopped messaging for like uhm maybe 20 mins at 1730hrs, he popped out behind me.

Aw. Thanks Ah Ken!

Kenneth claimed the food at Banquet sucked and I had no appetite. I was actually grateful that he bothered to spare a thought for me when I said I didn't want to eat at Banquet. We moved our butts to Ajisen.

So I thought to myself, 'I'm so gonna slack until 1930, which means I'm gonna spent 1.5 hrs eating instead of the 30-min break rule. How can I leave Kenneth alone for the next 3.5hrs? If the staffs there (with I doubt) gonna ask me where I was, I am gonna fabricate a witty lie'
My Veggie Noodles. The soup is damn delicious. Kenneth threw me mockery stares and giggled to himself when I placed my order.
Vegetarian also can be delicious, okay?
This american-english accent lady came so late 15 mins before my work ended. I spent the next one and a half hour answering her queries.
During the bus ride back, Kenneth was telling me that he is gonna get an iPhone 5 and he considers signing up a new line for it. Of course, I wasn't supportive of his idea and I sort of like trying to get him over iPhone 5. However, he wouldn't hear of it and jokingly said, 'I know you gonna beat the daylight out of me when you see me holding the iPhone5 next month'.

There was one remark Kenneth straightforwardly put across me was, ' You sound really weird when you speak english.' When asked for the reason, he hardly could explain his words. One of the reasons Kenneth gave was, 'Maybe I'm not too used to you speaking english. You're trying to practise it but you made it too forceful.'

I don't want to speculate what he's trying to mean but still, I know his casual remarks are often very honest opinions of him. Well, I'm still going to speak with my 'ang mo' accent regardless.

NS Br Cohesion @ Ban Heng Restaraunt

Many thanks to Ms Sukhvinder, our then-NS Br head for organizing an NS Br Cohesion at Ban Heng Pavilion Restaurant in the evening!

The ride to Harborfront on a Friday set-up the anticipation for something warm, delightful, and preferably big to satisfy our palate. Traffic was bad and the weather was just so-so that day.

The choice to go to Ban Heng was troublesome.

Old NS Br Photo-shoot!
The dinner was set at 1800hrs. Imagine the journey from my workplace to home was twenty-five minutes and preparation alone took me another good thirty minutes. By the time I met up Wee Kiat, it was already 1930hrs owing to another forty minutes train ride.

Personally, I think it was a bad plan for whoever that schedule the destination at such a far distance. Especially the amount of time given for traveling was ridiculously short as it would have been too rush and unrealistic for certain people like me where my work only ended at 1700hrs.

Under the convivial atmosphere, all of us were merrymaking over an array of chinese dishes. Casually sip our Chinese tea in between spoonful of shark fin and bites of Gong Bao chicken.
Personal views of the dishes at Ban Heng Restaurant
The chinese dishes here are not in the least delectable, albeit the dessert - Chin Chow & Cocktail mixture.

However, it's not nice to tell them how awful they taste, especially it was chosen by Mdm Tan.  She is a woman with full of ego. Although I would say that we have the freedom of speech, but lets keep the negative comments to ourselves. After all, we had the buffet on the house.
Rabbit Teeth.
After Mdm June's departure, I told everyone in the table how 'bunnyish' she looks like in the photo.  To stir up the mood of the dinner, I actually made the pose Mdm June did in the photo as follows.

Everyone to see the display on my handheld device. They were all like, show me or hey send this picture. MS Sukh laughed it off and commented, 'You are so naughty. It's not nice to call her that.' Mdm Tan snatched over and laughed heartily as she scrolled the photos I took with Instagram.
Other patronizer's views on the dishes - Sebastian
When asked how Sebastian thoughts for the food, he replied, 'I don't like it'. He continued, 'Before attending the dinner, I have checked out the ratings of their service and dishes. Reviewers rated them two stars (out of 5 stars).'
Personal thought for the dinner
All the clerks during Ms Sukhvinder's period have finished the two-year liabilities in our full-time National Service. Some of us are required to complete 10 more ICT cycles where NSmen like Marcus and Alson Tan are pardoned due to their PES Status.

However, PES E personnels that ORD-ed in Apr 2012 onwards would be called-up for their ICT due to some changes in MINDEF.

Back to topic, I could smell gratitude and happiness from Ms Sukh when she saw us. Handshakes are part of her grateful gestures for attending the dinner. Everyone was still their same old self. I spent most of the time chatting with Sebastian because Marcus decided to move over to chat with Wee Kiat. You know,  both of them are pretty much games-fanatic.

After-dinner
Marcus left the table as early as 2100hrs, claiming that he had something else to attend. Subsequently, Mdm June had to leave too. Before she left, the woman gave Ms Sukh a warm hug as a gesture of her heartfelt thanks.

Ms Sukh caught me pointing the handphone at them. When both Mdm June and Ms Sukh asked what were I doing I told them I was capturing the precious moment in our dinner. The rest of them was giggling away as they knew I had something up on my sleeves.

When Vadi returned from the restroom, he left his eyes and mouth opened wide for a few seconds when he saw Mdm June extending her arms out and cheekily asking me, 'Ryan, show me my photo!'

LOL Big misunderstanding!!
Mdm Tan called for the waitress to help us for the incomplete NS Br shoot !
Both officers exchanging their well-wishes.
Mdm June and Ms Sukhvinder duo shoot.
Chin Chow Tail (suggested by Sebas)
Before leaving for home, I snapped the interior of the restaurant so as to better remind me of this special moment all of us spent merrymaking as an old NS Br gathering of this year.

Unspeakable Gratefulness

I'll be leaving 708 SQn in 7 more fucking days &
I have this unspeakable feeling of unbearable.
I don't know why!

My head hurts badly.
My eyes are really painful.
Had a panadol but was ineffective after I arose from bed.
The pain began around 0900hrs and never stops again.

Bros. Credits to you today.
Too grateful for words.

Wei Siang provided me with the accommodation back home while Kenneth borrowed me his card holder so that I have place to store my 11B and ISAC Card.

However, maybe you'd be fucking mad at me if you are made aware that I actually walked home without appreciating your kindness.. But boy you are wrong. I'm just too grateful that using your money to go back home would have made me feel more guilty

Allow me to atone for my own blunder.
WS:
I really don't know if you're paying back me kindness but I'm speechlessly grateful that:

1. You told me that  you came down to T1 on Saturday to assure that I had an adequate hydration.
2. You volunteered to borrow me spare coins for bus fare to go home
3. You stayed back after work to search for my lost wallet.

You're a true friend, that's all I can say.

WS/ Kenneth :
Really all that sentimental feeling in the evening really made me extremely guilty. Actually, you guys  don't have to rummage through the dustbins and walked around the camp with me. And the search in canteen is totally superfluous because the wallet would have been gone by the time we reached there. If the thief is smart enough to steal, he is not stupid to hide away the evidence too.

All that time spent searching for my wallet. My gracious god, I really have no notion how to repay your kindness. True friends like both of them are almost extinct.

And that, I sincerely apologize for spoiling your mood on your gym day. Really.

9 More Days to Freedom

Who am I kidding? 9 more fucking days to ORD!

How I wish there's a button I could press that bring me forward to Oct 4, 2012. Hold on, wait, I'm going to relish the last 7 working days in Changi Air Base with people I care much. Eh eh. *evil laugh* This is awesomely awesome.
Apple will launch its iPhone 5 on Oct 4, 2012. However, Ryan is going to regain his freedom on this day.
9 more days to go.
9 more days to kiss goodbye Changi Air Base(West).
9 More days to no more waking up early in the morning
9 more days to independence
9 more days to pink I/C day
9 more days to Freedom
9 more days to be a real man
9 more days to be an NSman too.
I am the butterfly. NS is the hands that stringed me tightly for the past two years. It's time to let me go, NS!

9 more days.
Fucking yea.

Day 2 of MC

For your information, I have took a medical certificate from the Polyclinic (SingHealth) nearby my house. I am still recovering from excitement that the doctor actually bothered to understand my situation and prescribed me with TWO days of MC. I guess it was me who misled him that I actually am residing in a stay-in unit and he was like, ' I do not want you to spread the flu to your bunkmate. So I shall give you two days of MC.' I had a mini heart attack when he mentioned TWO DAYS OF MC (Sep 24, 2012 & Sep 25, 2012) because I have never gotten two days of MC from Polyclinic before.
Mom tasked me with a mission to buy a list of ingredients for dinner tonight. I have never step into a wet market alone to buy foods and I was sort of like YOU CAN CHEAT ME WITH THE PRICES UNCLES AND AUNTIES because I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH THEY COST.

A fresh cup of Orange Juice after lunch really makes me feel refreshed and healthy.
What displayed in the picture below is an array of fresh veggies in the stall I patronized for my mom's ingredient. I was captivated and fascinated by the fact that the stall owner could actually count their money fast and accurate during collection.
Is this 1970s-look-alike chinese medical hall going to be demolished for good? Or is it that the physician thinks it's time to renovate for a new look so that it can blend into our modern world in 2010s?
I have done 4 filings for my cavities yesterday! However if I could afford the cost of the fillings of my chipped off teeth, I would!
I love INSTAGRAM. I actually took a lot of pictures so that I could upload them to the Instagram!
Earlier September this year, HDB management decided that the flats around my place would be repainted. However, both Blk 483 and 482 will not have their new looks since they have already been repainted some years ago. Hence, both flats actually made the middle flat stands out as if they don't belong under the same community.
I really adore the new colors the resident chose! They look new, chic and condo-like in a way or another! And oh, for the record, the picture below was taken at my corridor with a backdrop of a new 'condo'.
 Mission accomplished!

Working Experience at PP #4

The sales for second day was much more better the day before. I managed to seal one more sale before leaving Best Denki. I have closed a total of 4 sales on Sunday. My highest record till now.
I allowed myself to take a break from work. Two more Sunshine Butter Sugar Roll for pre-dinner!
This 6 year-old kid by the name of Yi Xin (according to his granny) was playing with the games on my Tab 2 (10.1) for hours on end. His grandma was super mad at him because he was too addicted to the game and he refused to budge despite umpteen times of asking him to leave. The granny was constantly screaming at the boy with '你叫妈妈买给你啦。'

She turned to me and explained, '他爸爸以前有一个iPad,但因为没钱的关系所以把它给卖了。以前这两个小瓜每天抢着它玩,现在卖掉了所以没得玩了。’ She turned back to her grandson and heaved a big sign. I could see that she has finally 'resigned to fate' and played along with the games on the tab 2 (10.1).
Apparently, that's the worst chicken rice I have ever partake in my whole life. The chicken was reek of unspeakably weird smell and an unexplainably repulsive taste. No offense.
Hearsay from the full-timer, the staff can earn up to S$20 for selling a Galaxy Note 10.1. Apparently, Edmund had sold 3 of those. The imagine below shows Edmund explaining the specs of the gadget.
I should have helped Leon with the duty! In order to return the key before Monday arrives, I had no choice but to return it back after work. When I reached camp, it was already 2330hrs.
